Day 1: Arrival in Jakarta

Arrival in Jakarta, one of our driver will take you to your hotel. Free time



Day 2: Jakarta, Pangkalan Bun, Tanjung Putting

Early this morning our guide will take you to the airport for the flight to Pangkalan Bun (central Borneo). Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun airport, you will be picked up by our local staff who will take you to Kumai to board the boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden boat with a roof that forms the upper deck where it is possible to see the rainforest while sailing. The boat team includes the boatman, a cook and an experienced guide. Lunch is served on the road to Tanjung Harapan, a former orphaned orangutan rehabilitation center, 2 hours from Kumai.

At Tanjung Harapan we will have the first chance to meet the orangutans in their habitat.

And then we will return to the dock of the boat for navigation. Dinner and overnight on the boat.



Day 3: Orangutan and trekking in the forest (Camp Leakey)

After breakfast we will go up the river for about 2 hours by boat and then on a side stream to Camp Leakey where the oldest orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. Along the way, stop at Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for new captive former orangutans. At Camp Leakey you will have the opportunity to walk in the rainforest with your expert guide and the forest rangers to appreciate the flora and perhaps spot wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques and birds. Lunch provided by boat. In the afternoon visit to the feeding station to see the rehabilitated orangutans while they receive additional food. Overnight on the boat.



Day 4: Flight to Semarang and transfer to Yogyakarta

This morning there will be a transfer to Pangkalan Bun airport and a flight to Semarang. Arrival and transfer to Yogyakarta and free time available.




Day 5: Borobudur, Prambanan temple

After a good rest at the hotel in Yogyakarta and a hearty breakfast we are ready to meet the guide to go to Borobudur. Upon arrival, climb the temple of Borobudur to the top of Arupadhatu. So you will receive a lot of information from your guide who will inform you

about the philosophy of the Buddha exploring the relief on Borobudur, then visit Pawon and the temple of Mendut. The journey continues with a visit to the temple of Prambanan, the most important Hindu temple, built in the 9th century and composed of the three temples dedicated to Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. I’m going back to the hotel.



Day 6: Yogyakarta, Mojokerto, Monte Bromo area

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Tugu station to catch the morning train to Mojokerto station. Arrival in Mojokerto at noon and transfer to the Bromo area. Arrival in Bromo, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your free time at your leisure.



Day 7: Mount Bromo, Surabaya, Bali

At 4 am, the 4 × 4 ready under the hotel will take us to the most famous vantage point in the world on Mt.Pananjakan (2,750 m) on the edge of the Tengger caldera to enjoy the dawn breaking on the cones of the volcanoes between where Mount Bromo is another active volcano, the Semeru in the background. The views are breathtaking.

We continue across the sandy sea to the active Bromo volcano and climb the 245 steps to visit the crater (2,500 m). Afterwards the off-roader will take you back to the lodge for breakfast and a little well-deserved rest.

At the appropriate time, transfer to Surabaya airport for the flight to Bali.

Arrival in Bali, meeting with the driver and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay after this great experience.




Day 8: Bali, free day

Enjoy your resort, or optional trips for you, Bali presents an infinite number of locations to visit, very important and fascinating, so don’t hesitate to ask us for a trip.

Today it is time to return to Italy after these memorable days
