The Khao Sok National Park contains the largest virgin forest of Thailand and it is older and most varied of the Amazon jungle in South America. It covers 739 square kilometers, and is estimated to contain more than 5% of the animals world species - only 30% of which have been identified!
Knowns for its limestone formations, breathtaking waterfalls and colorfull wildlife, Khao Sok was a favorite visit of southern Thailand since the beginning of 1980.
The park offers a multitude of way to explore. The rainy season begins in late April and lasts until December, with heavy rains between May and July, and October and November. But do not let that stop you! Rain is often a relief to the tropical heat. Not to mention the fact that ... it's a rainforest!
