It is well known as the city of monkeys, in fact it is composed of about 26,000 people and about 2,000 monkeys ... many meet to visit the Phra Prang Sam Yot, the most famous temple in the city, and the San Phra Kan or the Baan Vichayen. If you show indifference and avoid showing yourself with food in hand, the feared Lopburi monkeys will not do anything to you. If you can jump to the train station, it is a meeting point here and also picturesque. Despite the monkeys Lopburi is a lively and pleasant, culturally interesting city. What perhaps not many know is that it is one of the oldest cities in Thailand, in fact the ancient name of Lopburi was Lavo, and was founded between the fifth and seventh century AD.
