Plan

Nice private tour to discover temples and great things in Bangkok.

Professional Tour guide is an expert local speaking english guide and he will be really useful today.

If you are more than 3-4 people you can choose to have a private minivan too, if you are only a couple or 3 people is better if you’ll choose to go around Bangkok with public transportation as metro or boats, it will be more interesting and more fast too, non need to stay in the terrible traffic of this capital.

We really suggest to choose the public transportation to save time and to live as local this big city too.

Thailand has about 56,000 temples spread throughout its territory.

You will visit the Wat Traimit Temple in Bangkok, where you can see the world’s largest Gold Buddha.
The Golden Buddha, whose official Thai name is Phra Phuttha Maha Suwan Patimakon (the great statue of the Golden Buddha), is the largest massive gold statue in the world and one of the most valuable treasures of Thailand and of the Buddhism.
It is located in Wat Traimit, a small temple complex of Theravada Buddhism, located in the Samphanthawong district, in the Yaowarat area, Chinatown in Bangkok, Thailand.

The statue weighs five tons and a half and is 4.5 meters high.

It is said that the Golden Buddha was built in the thirteenth century although later it was covered with plaster, probably to fool the thieves.
The cover was so well realized that what he was hiding was forgotten and the Golden Buddha remained “plaster” for many centuries.
The Wat Pho, however, houses the statue of the largest lying Buddha in Thailand, 46 meters long, 15 meters high, covered with golden leaves and pearls that adorn the feet and represents the passage of the Buddha in Nirvana.
Observing the position of the feet of the Buddha,  can understand whether it represents the nirvana passage as in this temple (united feet perfectly aligned) or if the Buddha is asleep (one foot is slightly moved forward with respect to the other).

As soon as you enter, strictly without shoes, as in all Buddhist monasteries, you are impressed by the size of this Buddha that gathers the attention of all visitors.
Another splendid temple is the Wat Benjamabophit (Marble Temple) considered as the building with the highest artistic value of the city.
The oddities of this temple are, for example, given by … glass windows, expertly worked and ornate, a peculiarity that absolutely can not be found in any other Buddhist temple!
For the West and for the Italians in particular, this Temple assumes a characteristic connotation given by the use of Carrara marble for the coatings.
Today, Wat “Ben” is an elite and picturesque place chosen by the wealthiest and most important families in the city to perform the funeral ceremonies here.

All this and much more in this beautiful day around Bangkok.
